Will hair grow back thicker?
Dermaplaning only removes the fine vellus hairs, also known as peach fuzz, and the surface layer of dead skin. These hairs are completely different from thicker terminal hairs, like those on your scalp or brows. Because the follicles are untouched, your vellus hair grows back soft, light, and delicate; never thicker or darker.
How often should I get it done?
For your healthiest glow, dermaplaning is best every 3–4 weeks. This follows your skin’s natural renewal cycle, gently removing the buildup of dead skin and peach fuzz each month.

- Avoid heat, steam, and workouts for 24–48 hours, and pause active products like retinol, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide for 5 days.
- If you’re planning any facial waxing, book it before your dermaplaning appointment or wait 7 days after, as your skin will be extra sensitive.
