What is Permanent Jewellery?
Permanent jewellery offers a unique experience by custom-fitting bracelets, anklets, or necklaces with welded ends, creating a seamless chain without the need for clasps. This not only eliminates hassle but also fosters meaningful connections when getting it with loved ones and becomes a cherished keepsake as you can wear it permanently.
How does it work?
Our process is personalized: you choose your chain, we measure the perfect fit, then weld it around your wrist, ankle, or neck. It's not just about jewellery; it's an unforgettable bonding experience with friends and family, and the ultimate gift for any occasion that always fits!
Does it hurt?
Not at all! Our welding technique generates a tiny spark to fuse the metal, which is quick and painless as the spark never comes in contact with your skin. For safety, we advise closing your eyes and looking away during the process to protect your eyes from the light emitted by the spark.
What materials do you offer?
We've carefully selected materials to ensure everyone can enjoy our permanent jewellery. Currently, we offer durable stainless steel, perfect for anklets due to its strength. Additionally, we have exquisite 14k gold-filled options for those seeking luxury without the high price of solid gold. And let's not forget our stunning sterling silver, known for its timeless beauty and durability. Each metal option has its own unique qualities to suit various preferences and needs.
Does it require any maintenance?
Since permanent jewellery is worn daily, we recommend regular cleaning with anti-grease dish soap and water to remove sweat, debris, and product buildup. Always remember to rinse and dry thoroughly for lasting shine.
Why is my jewellery tarnishing?
Tarnishing occurs when metals undergo chemical reactions with environmental factors, resulting in a dark or blackened appearance. Common causes include exposure to air, moisture, chemicals, acidity, and sulfur compounds. To prevent tarnishing, avoid contact with harsh chemicals such as perfume, hairspray, lotion, household cleaners, chlorine from swimming pools, and acidic substances like sweat and certain skincare products. For sterling silver jewellery, you can remove tarnish by using a silver polishing cloth or a gentle silver cleaning solution, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Does permanent jewellery last forever?
Permanent jewellery is designed to be durable and can last for a long time with proper care. However, it's important to note that it's not meant to be indestructible. Unlike traditional jewellery, which is often taken off and put back on, permanent jewellery is worn continuously, so the chains are intentionally thin and delicate as a safety measure. This design ensures that if the chain gets caught, it will break safely. Additionally, for your peace of mind, we offer a 7-day re-weld policy from your appointment date if your jump ring breaks, provided you still have the chain.
What if I need to remove it?
If you need to remove the jewellery for any reason, you can easily cut the jump ring holding the chain together using scissors or nail clippers. This provides the option for re-welding at a later date or adding a clasp for traditional wear or to hold onto as a cherish keepsake.
Who is ineligible for permanent jewellery?
Permanent jewellery may not be suitable for individuals with metal allergies or skin sensitivities, or those with pacemakers due to the welding process. Additionally, we only provide welding services to individuals aged 16 years and older. Anyone under 18 years old must have a parent or caregiver sign for permission.
