I had the pleasure of dermaplaning Tamika recently, hear what she had to say about her experience below. Client selfie she sent me included :) Adelaide Dermaplaning, Adelaide facial, Adelaide Dermaplaning Facial "I was so happy with my Dermaplane facial. I saw so much of a difference in the brightness and clarity of my skin almost immediately. My pores appeared smaller and my skin was very clean especially around my nose which was noticeably clearer. I have suffered with adult acne and also have scaring due to suffering severe sunburn as a child and a severe case of the chicken pox at seventeen. I haven’t always looked after my skin well so this was the beginning of my skin journey and I feel like it was a great choice because I could get some instant results. Thi was professional and walked me through the whole process, the salon was beautiful and clean and the whole experience was very luxurious and relaxing. I highly recommended this!" - Tamika

I had a regular client bring in a friend who was looking at getting MicroBlading done. She had done her research (very important!) and was going to go with a lady who had 20 years experience. My client said her brow lady had talent (gosh I love my clients! No pressure... 😅). Thinking that she had nothing to lose she decided to have me shape her brows and have a chat about MicroBlading while she was here.
Most people don't realise that over plucked brows can actually take months even years to grow back depending on the damage, sometimes they don't even grow back at all! In these cases or where hair never grew there in the first place MicroBlading would be a good option. I question why she didn't try to grow them out as there is some pain involved with MicroBlading, it may not be suitable for everyone and the cost and the maintenance involved. From her research she already knew all this but thought that this was the only option left as she had been growing out her brows for some time and the tails were always thin and never grew unlike the front which was very thick and dark. While shaping her brows and upon further inspection, I noticed that even though she had dark hair, her roots and facial hair were quite light in comparison so I suggested tinting. She had always gotten her brows shaped but no one had ever suggested it before. I was hoping the fine hair between the dark hairs would be coloured darker to match the rest of her brows and the gaps not look too noticeable while growing out the rest of the brows. Tints are great for people with light hair, they last around a month on natural brow hairs however it only stains the skin for a few days. Applying brow powder will give the same look in the meantime. I've been looking into Brow henna which stains the skin for longer but being Adelaide no one ever comes down here to train 😪. I left the beginning thick while we try to grow out the tail. In the event that it doesn't grow any thicker then I'll shape the beginning a tiny bit thinner just so that it will look in proportion with the thinner tail but I have high hopes 😊. Is she still keen on MicroBlading do you ask? Well, I think the pictures speak for themselves... Who needs MicroBlading when your brows look this good naturally! |
